Filtering of Capella capabilities
Deactivating Capella capabilities via the Capabilities preference page
Capabilities allow us to enable or disable certain components of Capella product. Some categories of Capella functionalities have been predefined in the Capabilities preference page are:

Capella Advanced Modeling includes functionalities for advanced users, for instance the Expert property view

Capella Concepts includes functionalities concerning Capella System Engineering concepts, for instance the behavior component concept

Capella Phases includes functionalities available in different Capella phases, for instance the Operational Analysis phase.

Capella Tools includes various Capella tools, for instance the Transitions tool
Applying the change has an immediate effect on the tool, Capella functionalities will be activated or deactivated accordingly.
Sharing the Capella capabilities configuration with other users
Capabilities configuration can be shared among users via preference file (.epf). To export an .epf file to share with other users:
- 1. Open the menu File > Export
- 2. Select General/Preferences item
- 3. Give a valid path to the epf file
We can observe in the exported file that the Transitions activity has been disabled as follows:
To import an .epf shared by other users:
- 1. Open the menu File > Import
- 2. Select General/Preferences item
- 3. Give the path to the shared epf file
We can then observe that, for instance, the Transitions contextual menu is not accessible any more on Project Explorer.
